Όπως υποσχέθηκε η Apple στο παρελθόν, άνοιξε σήμερα μετά την κυκλοφορία του iOS 5 beta 5 και το me.com/move για τους developers έτσι ώστε να μπορέσουν να μεταφέρουν τα στοιχεία τους από το MobileMe στο iCloud.
Πρόσφατα εμφανίστηκαν διάφορες φήμες που μας δείχνουν ότι η Apple δουλεύει ώστε να ξανασχεδιάσει το MobileMe το οποίο θα περιέχει το ‘locker’ που θα μας δίνει την δυνατότητα να αποθηκεύσουμε τα προσωπικά μας αρχεία όπως μουσική, φωτογραφίες και video.
Το πράγμα ξεκαθαρίζει σιγά σιγά. Προφανώς η Apple σχεδιάζει να αντικαταστήσει την μνήμη flash με ένα καινούριο cloud server. Οι τελευταίες φήμες λένε πως αυτή η αλλαγή θα γίνει στο MobileMe που θα επιτρέπει στους χρήστες να συνδεθούν με τα δεδομένα τους.
Η Apple κυκλοφόρησε ένα καινούριο update για τις παραγωγικές εφαρμογές του iPad. Φυσικά μιλάμε για το Keynote, Numbers και το Pages, το πακετάκι που ονομάζεται iWork.

Apple’s MobileMe iDisk application for iPhone [App Store, Free], which has been listed as a forthcoming feature since Apple revamped its iPhone feature pages following its Worldwide Developers Conference in early June, is now available for download from the App Store. The application allows MobileMe members to easily browse and view files stored on their iDisk and share files with others via integrated e-mail links.

MobileMe iDisk is available for the iPhone and iPod touch and requires iPhone OS 3.0 and a MobileMe subscription.

Amidst the brouhaha yesterday, we sometimes miss a few little tidbits that could end up being super useful, like Apple’s free iDisk app for iPhone. It’ll let MobileMe users view and send stored data like documents and videos.
Documents you have backed up on MobileMe, like PDFs, Word files, or whatever else, can now be streamed to your iPhone and viewed, as well as sent—instead of sending a hefty email attachment, iDisk will send an email with a link so the recipient can download directly from MobileMe.
