Δεν πρόλαβε η Apple να βγάλει το καινούριο firmware και ο Geohot άρχισε τα test του, σύμφωνα με ένα post στο twitter μας λέει ότι ακόμα και το καινούριο firmware δουλεύει με το blackra1n που ετοιμάζει και ότι το δοκίμασε ήδη στο iPhone 3GS του!
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Η Apple κυκλοφόρησε το καινούριο firmware update 3.1.2 (7D11) για το iPhone.
Αν ενδιαφέρεστε για το jailbreak και unlock, μην κάνετε update το iPhone σας – 3G και 3GS χρήστες θα πρέπει να δώσουν μεγάλη προσοχή σε αυτή την παρατήρηση!

Η Apple σήμερα έδωσε την καινούρια έκδοση του iPhone firmware. Η καινούρια έκδοση είναι η 3.1.2 και διορθώνει διάφορα προβλήματα που έχει το iPhone όταν ανοίγει από sleep, διάσπαση υπηρεσίας δικτύου και κρασάρει κατά την διάρκεια του video streaming. Οι χρήστες που έχουν αγορασμένο το iPhone από Ελλάδα ή κάπου αλλού και είναι activated (ξεκλείδωμενο) μπορούνε να κάνουν update στο καινούριο firmware.
Προσοχή: Οι χρήστες που έχουν iPhone jailbroken ΔΕΝ θα πρέπει να κάνουν το καινούριο Update γιατί θα κλειδώσουν τα iPhone τους, περισσότερα σύντομα σχετικά με το νεο firmware απο την iPhone dev team, μείνετε συντονισμένοι!

Apple today released iPhone OS 3.1.2, addressing several issues regarding waking from sleep, network service disruption, and crashing during video streaming. iPhone users should connect their iPhones to iTunes and click the “Check for Update” button to obtain the new version.
This update contains bug fixes and improvements, including the following:
- Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep
- Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart
- Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming
The update is compatible with all iPhone models and weighs in at approximately 240 MB. Apple introduced iPhone OS 3.1almost exactly one month ago, bringing a number of new features including Genius recommendation for applications, Genius Mixes for music and purchasing of pre-cut ringtones.
Update: A corresponding update is also available for the iPod touch.
Also, the iPhone OS 3.1.2 update for iPhone in U.S. is accompanied by an update to AT&T’s carrier settings file, which brings the settings to version 5.6.

No, infact, sn0wbreeze Will NOT even give you the option to permit a baseband upgrade!

9) I’m Jailbroken on 3.0.1 by using redsn0w. Will sn0wbreeze work for me if I go to 3.1? Will I keep all of my Apps?
Yes, sn0wbreeze will upgrade you to 3.1 (Jailbroken), but, unfortunatly, when restoring it has to format everything because it has to re-partition the Phone (So you will need to re-install all your Apps).
10) Can I still use Unauthorized Internet Tethering on 3.1? (e.g AT&T)
You cannot use unauthorized Internet Tethering on 3.1, unless it is approved by your carrier. You can use third party software, such as: iModem when it is jailbroken!

Αυτό που βλέπουμε παραπάνω είναι μια απόδειξη ότι το iPod touch 3ης γενιάς έγινε Jailbreak.
